    गोपियों के द्वारा उद्धव को भाग्यवान कहने में व्यंग्य का भाव छिपा हुआ है। उद्धव तो मथुरा में श्रीकृष्ण के साथ ही रहते थे पर फिर भी उन के हृदय में पूरी तरह से प्रेमहीनता थी। वे प्रेम के बंधन से पूरी तरह मुक्त थे। उनका मन किसी के प्रेम में डूबता ही नहीं था। श्रीकृष्ण के निकट रह कर भी वे प्रेमभाव से वंचित थे।
